23 - 25 November 2005, Brussels, Belgium.
05.12.05
ETRAP2005, the 3rd International conference
on Education and Training in Radiological Protection brought together
practitioners and policy makers from the medical and nuclear engineering
sector, research institutions and the non-nuclear industry, alongside
social scientists, safety experts, regulators and representatives of
national authorities and key international organisations.
From 23 to 25 November 2005, 150 participants coming from 25 countries
saw key examples of education and training programmes and tools and
discussed views on education and training policy. A special plenary
session focussed on the need for harmonisation of education and training
practices and of skill recognition. The debate resulted in a conference
declaration that was put forward to national and international policy
makers at the end of the conference.
Presentations and full papers, the
list of participants and the text of the conference
declaration are now available onthis site. Watch also this space
for updates on future ETRAP conferences and related activities.
The organisers thank everybody who contributed to make this event a
success.
