The ETRAP2005 Programme is online.
With 35 oral presentations, 8 panel discussions, a plenary debate and
an extended collection of posters and educational material demos and
displays, ETRAP2005 promises to be this year's place-to-be in Europe
if you want to be part of the dynamics with regard to the science and
policy of education and training in radiological protection.
We thank all the contributors
for their input. They provide the basis for a conference that promises
to generate a stimulating flux of ideas and initiatives that should
lead to a harmonised recognition and optimised use of skills and professional
experience in connection with the peaceful use of applications of radioactivity.
Of course, in addition to our international and high level group of
speakers, poster presenters and session chairs, we need you to be there
too ! Register
now and ensure your place in the group in November in Brussels.

We are glad to announce that representatives of the European Commission,
the NEA/OECD, the IAEA and the International Radiation Protection Association
(IRPA) will deliver keynote speeches to the conference.
In addition, we received a set of excellent abstracts, promising a varied,
dynamic and high level event. A warm thanks to all the contributers.
The program will be build within the coming months.
Please note that it is still possible to send in proposals to present
educational material on radiological protection (courses, books, software
applications,
) during the conference. The material will be on
display in the poster and coffee break room, right next to the plenary
room.

Preparations for ETRAP2005 are in full swing.
ETRAP2005 aims to reinforce the networking between organisations and
individuals involved in education and training in radiological protection,
providing a much needed platform for a comprehensive and transdisciplinary
approach at both national and international level.
Send us your abstract if you want to share your work and views with
practitioners and policy-makers from all over Europe !
We are especially interested in your insight into - and experience
with - the following issues:
- Certification and accreditation, recognition and harmonisation of
requirements;
- Education and training needs in the industrial and medical sector;
- Expertise and knowledge management and on-the-job training;
- Course materials, demo-installations and e-learning;
- Quality assurance, safety culture and transdisciplinarity.
