Call for contribution
We welcome abstracts for oral or poster contributions from training providers, governmental organizations, end-users, E&T networks and all other stakeholders who wish to share their recent knowledge and insights with regard to education and training in radiological protection.
The COVID-19 pandemic has driven a significant increase in the use of online learning tools. Is this affecting training outcomes? Is distance learning/e-learning now implemented to the full and are there results available of comparative studies with traditional learning methods?
Train the trainer
Trainers need to be experts in the scientific or technical topic they transfer, demonstrate hands-on experience and excellent didactical skills, and be able to use the most recent tools and methods. How do they obtain and maintain their competences?
E&T policy in radiation protection
The interaction between research, E&T and legislation is a basis for policy makers. What is the status of the E&T activities within the different networks and to which extent are the IAEA or EU safety standards now implemented? Are the national E&T frameworks consistent with the (national) legislative frameworks?
Stakeholders engagement and attracting the young generation
Stakeholder engagement is of utmost importance for the future development and success of education and training activities. Which professionals need specific attention in the development of E&T in radiation protection and what actions are taken for them?
Communication, ethical issues and radiation protection culture
Justifying nuclear technology applications remains a complex exercise that has to take into account scientific uncertainties and value judgements. There is a growing awareness of the importance of being able to consider this wider context. How to deal with these complex items in education and training activities?
